This photograph shows the Montgomery building, a multi-storied stone building located at the corner of South 11th and N Streets. Large cloth canopies cover the street level display windows and small canopies cover the windows on the upper floors. A street lamp stands close to the corner and automobiles are parked at the curb. Tenants of the building with 11th Street entrances include Adams Express Company at 202, Brown & Doyle Undertakers at 206, and The Fisk Rubber Company at 212. The storefront at 208 is available for rent. Businesses with side entrances off N street include The Lincoln Press Printery at 1107 and Pioneer Suitorium at 1101 which is located on the lower level of the building.
According to Polk's Lincoln City Directory, 1918, the Montgomery Building became the Old Line Insurance Building; John G. Maher served as president and Louis A. Berge as vice president.
