A conductor in uniform, stands on the back of a streetcar marked: 127, Lincoln Street Railway. The car sits in front of the Lincoln Street Railway Company power house located on the northwest corner of 9th and K Streets, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Tracks lead to each of the double doors lining the first level of the two-story brick building, electric lines run overhead into each bay where the cars are stored. Two smoke stacks and another building sit beyond the first building.
According to Hoye's City Directory of Lincoln, 1897, Brad D. Slaughter was the receiver for Lincoln Street Railway Company, and William G. Clark the attorney.
